Welcome to GhorLagbee. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our applications (Client App and Owner App) and tell you about your privacy rights.

2. The Data We Collect About You

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity Data: includes your full name, phone number or similar identifier, and profile picture (obtained via Google Sign-In or provided during onboarding).
  • Contact Data: includes email address and your verified telephone number.
  • Location Data: includes your GPS location to provide distance-based property filtering and precise property tagging. We only collect this with your explicit permission.
  • Content Data: includes images, documents, and text you upload (e.g., property photos, ID verification documents). We may use ML Kit for text recognition on documents you provide.
  • Usage Data: includes information about how you use our applications.
  • Device & Notification Data: includes device identifiers (like Firebase Installation IDs and FCM tokens) used strictly to deliver push notifications and in-app messages to your device.

3. How We Use Your Personal Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • To register you as a new user and manage your account (collecting your name and phone number is mandatory for account security).
  • To verify the identity of landlords and property managers to ensure platform safety and prevent fraudulent listings.
  • To enable direct communication between clients (tenants) and owners (landlords) regarding property inquiries.
  • To provide the core functionalities of the apps, such as matching clients with to-lets and allowing owners to manage listings.
  • To manage our relationship with you, including notifying you about changes to our terms or privacy policy.
  • To deliver important service updates, alerts, and promotional content via push notifications and in-app messaging.
  • To improve our applications, products/services, marketing, customer relationships, and experiences.

4. Disclosures of Your Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share your contact info (Name and Phone Number) only with the relevant party (e.g., showing a landlord's phone to a tenant who wants to contact them) to facilitate housing transactions. We may also share data with internal third parties (such as our cloud service providers, e.g., Google/Firebase) who provide IT and system administration services essential for the apps to function.

5. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered, or disclosed.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for. You can delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the app settings by selecting "Delete Account", or by contacting us at support@ghorlagbee.com. Deleting your account will permanently remove your profile, contact information, and any properties you have listed.
